Snapforge
A downloadable utility for Windows
WHAT IS SNAPFORGE?
Snapforge is a block-based visual scripting environment for creating games within the Playstudio engine. It is designed to abstract away syntax while retaining the ability to implement advanced game logic and system-level interactions. No traditional code writing is required, but the tool provides the structural depth necessary for complex project development.
The editor operates on a modular logic block system with integrated access to Playstudio engine resources, including asset pipelines for NPCs, gears, and in-world entities. Logic constructs include conditional branching, boolean evaluation, arithmetic operations, and event-driven execution.
Projects are authored entirely through a drag-and-drop interface. When a project reaches deployment readiness, the block graph can be compiled into executable Playstudio script code and exported via text file. The output is then inserted into the Playstudio platform for immediate integration and publishing.
